Drafting Traineeship

We’re currently seeking a Trainee Draftsperson to join our team in Wonthaggi.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to begin or grow their career in residential design, working alongside an experienced and supportive drafting team.
This position forms part of our in-house design team, responsible for preparing working drawings for permit approval and construction. You’ll be supported every step of the way, with opportunities to develop your technical skills while contributing to real projects across our region.
Your role will include:
– Learning and working with architectural drafting software
– Preparing residential drawings from preliminary concepts
– Assisting with documentation for building permits and construction
– Understanding and applying building regulations and design standards
– Identifying and communicating design considerations within the team
– Updating and refining plans as projects progress
We’re seeking someone who is motivated and eager to learn, has a genuine interest in residential design and construction, communicates well, works effectively within a team, and
takes pride in their attention to detail. This role would suit a school leaver or someone early in their career looking to build a long-term future in the building industry.
